seems like that guy has gotten in the “friend-zone” with you. has he told you how he felt? or at least, hinted that he’s interested? or has he tried to mask his feelings around you? i bet he’s probably done all three, not necessarily in that particular order.
He’s definitely hinted it. Like I said - I’m pretty clueless unless your flirting is really obvious…
learning to play guitar was probably one of the easiest things I have ever done. now that doesn’t mean I play well, but I’m good enough. also, shouldn’t you have garageband? if I had that program at my fingertips I would spend all day using it!
Do I talk to you in real life? Hmm.
Several of my friends have told me that I should learn guitar because it’s “easy.” I’d probably mess it up, though.
shouldn’t really say learn. I never took lessons or anything, just went along with shit then checked on the internet to see if I was doing it right lol. not a question. no need to reply!
What do you think about facial hair on guys? Are you more of a mustache kinda person or more into grizzly beards or fu manchus?
Facial hair or no facial hair - I don’t really care. A nicely trimmed beard looks nice, though. :)
Mustaches on their own look sort of weird. However, my hot History of World Cinema TA had just a mustache, and he was definitely rocking that look. He looked like Errol Flynn (except his mustache wasn’t quite that thin).
I also talk to a guy who has a nice beard. (Or at least I think he still has the beard.) :)
I’m not sure. I’m going back to college on the 19th. (Hopefully) I’ll be chosen as an RA for next school year. Over the summer, I’ll be working as a freshman orientation advisor. That’s all I have planned out right now. I might get a job this semester, but I’m still not sure.
so i know that you write poems, but do you ever create any other type of art? or any arts that you would like to do stuff with?
Haha, I write mediocre poetry… and I don’t think I could create any other type of art. I’m not good at painting or drawing (or other art forms), and I never learned how to play a musical instrument. Oh, and I also don’t have a nice singing voice. I would like to learn how to play an instrument, though.
i do hope you’re not one of the girls who ended up with a jerk boyfriend, broke up with said jerk boyfriend, then proceded to complain about jerk ex-boyfriend to one of those “nice” guys who seems to be interested in you. why not take the chance with one of them and see how it goes? chances are, if it doesn’t work out, he’ll be nice enough to just be friends and not let things be awkward.
I’m guilty of doing that to one of the guys who liked (likes?) me. I feel like a terrible person for it. Perhaps I should be more open to new possibilities.
ah, makes sense that you wouldn’t go if he isn’t going either, because going to a party without knowing anyone sucks for sure. anyway, how come you don’t like some of the guys that seem to be interested in you? are they just the atypical “nice” guy who means well, but comes on too strong/annoyingly nice? is another a relatively interesting male, who shares similar interests in music/movies/literature but has a face that is rather unappealing? or are they just fat? :P
I guess they fit in the category of “nice” guys who mean well. That’s what makes it hard for me to turn them down. :/
did you end up going to that party that you were invited to? if you did, then you probably would have figured out if he was into you or not. if you didn’t, then you missed out on an opportunity to get to know him better. then again, it is just one party, you’ll have plenty of other opportunities
I didn’t go to the party because I figured out that he wasn’t going (through Facebook). But I really wish I had been more “aggressive” in my relationship tactics.
this whole decade has been a back and forth between people who don’t know what they really want. like right now we have gay rights and healthcare reforms as well as people trying to legalize marijuana. none of these things are more popular on one side than the other. we have just been a debate this whole decade about everything really. any and everything has become offensive. i figure within the next few years we will be advancing as a country. also, what are you thoughts on the whole 2012 is the end of the world idea?
Your thoughts on the decade are quite true. With regards to the 2012 thing, I think it’s hogwash. I mean, the Mayan predictions are very interesting to study, but I don’t believe that anything will happen.
it is one day from the next decade. do you think it will be a better decade than the one we just lived? what are your thoughts on this decade?
I hope it’ll be better, but I really have no idea how things are going to play out. I mean, a lot of messed up stuff happened this decade, but the same can be said about any other decade. It’s hard to judge each decade on a relative scale.
actually, turns out i do have a bit more to ask. what kind of mixed signals are you getting from the guys you like? and what is unappealing about the guys that you don’t like that like you? more probing questions from a stranger :P
Well, this one guy I liked invited me to his party, but I couldn’t figure out if it was because he liked me or he was just trying to be nice. Also, I’m generally bad at judging whether a guy is flirting with me or not. Sometimes it seems like they are, but I can’t exactly tell. Unless you whack me over the head with your love, I’m pretty clueless. Haha.
well, i’ve run out of questions for tonight, but i’ll leave you with this small piece of advice: act on the mixed signals, don’t wait for them to light a signal fire saying that they like you. and for the guys that like you but you don’t like them back, let them know that.
why have you lost faith in love? harsh break-up or something? you’ll find a good guy one day, many men like an attractive, intelligent girl such as yourself over your generic “hot” bimbo.
Yeah, I guess it was a bad break-up. There are guys who like me, but I don’t really like them back. (And the guys who I do like send mixed signals.) Thanks for the boost of confidence, though. I hope I find someone for me. :)
where do you see yourself in ten years?
Mmm… hopefully working on my Ph.D in nursing (at either UPenn, Emory, Johns Hopkins, or another good nursing school). It would also be nice to have friends, a significant other, and a cat in my life.
Hypothetically, if one of your friends were to confess his love for you, how would you respond? i.e. “Miss Ellen! I’ve loved you for so long but have been silent all this time we’ve known each other for fear of a harsh rejection, but my feelings cannot be held back any longer!”
Why are you so obsessed with people asking you anonymous questions?
I don’t know. You don’t have to be anonymous. *shrugs*
in your opinion what is the ultimate art form? is it film, music, videogames, literature, or something else? and if you are up for it, explain why you chose what you chose.
I would have to say film, because it’s the one medium that can incorporate all those other art forms. A movie is translated from script to screen (or from book to script to screen). A movie can be based off a videogame. Also, a score/soundtrack accompanies the mood of the film. I know that’s a lame explanation, but that’s all that my brain could come up with right now.
